What Face Mask For Your Skin

Face masks are good and well, but if you’re using the wrong one than you could be doing more damage than good. Before we go into which mask for which skin type, here’s some extra tips for any mask your using. Steam your face prior with your face over a bowl of hot water or press a hot washer to your face before beginning your mask. Take your mask down to your dĂ©colletage, your neck is just as important as your face and needs proper care. This is the same when cleansing and apply wrinkle treatment and other creams.

Dry & Sensitive Skin
A hydrating mask is the only choice as you want to rejuvenate and protect your skin rather than dry it out. A recommend mask is Yes To Cucumbers Soothing Facial Mask

Acne-Prone Skin
Using facial oil as a mask is fantastic for acne-prone or oily skin, fighting oil with oil will actually re-balance your sebaceous glands and help heal your spots. If you are drying out your face too much your skin will make even more oil to compensate, so you end up with more clogged pores than you had to start with. However, if you want to deep clean your pores, start with a clay or gel mask. A recommended mask is Clean & Clear Blackhead Eraser Cleansing Mask

Oily Skin
A clay mask is perfect for oily skin, as it works to exfoliate and draw impurities out of the skin. These masks can be known to dry out the skin so it’s best to follow with a hydrating mask afterwards. A recommended mask is Alba Botanica Natural Even Advanced Deep Sea Facial Mask

Combination Skin
Combination skin should be addressed in separate parts. T-zone tends to be oily so a clay mask helps and then use a hydrating mask on the rest of the skin. As another option, an enzyme mask is perfect for someone with combination skin and is gentle enough to apply all over your face. A recommended mask is Kiehl’s Pineapple Papaya Facial Scrub
