What Face Mask For Your Skin

Face masks are good and well, but if you’re using the wrong one than you could be doing more damage than good. Before we go into which mask for which skin type, here’s some extra tips for any mask your using. Steam your face prior with your face over a bowl of hot water or press a hot washer to your face before beginning your mask. Take your mask down to your décolletage, your neck is just as important as your face and needs proper care. This is the same when cleansing and apply wrinkle treatment and other creams.

Dry & Sensitive Skin
A hydrating mask is the only choice as you want to rejuvenate and protect your skin rather than dry it out. A recommend mask is Yes To Cucumbers Soothing Facial Mask

Skin, The Largest Organ of the Body. (Part 1)

If you remember not long before the end of the year, I set myself a challenge which I didn't actually fully complete. That was to write up an 'assignment' on the skin. Lucky for me, it wasn't actually an assignment. But that's not to say that I didnt do a fair bit on notes on it, because I did.  So basically, here are the notes that I have done. If you're not into the science of skin, maybe give this post a miss but you may be missing out on some interesting facts.

Skin Science The skin is the largest organ of the body having 6 different functions: protection, immunity, sensation, heat regulation, absorption of vitamin D, and excretion of wastes, sweat, oil, etc. The skin has three different layers: The epidermis, the dermis and the hypodermis or subcutaneous layer. The skin is known as the integumentary system and it acts as a boundary fence and keeps all the bacteria from entering the body.

look healthy whilst sick

apologising for not writing anything, i have been away on a holiday and trying to keep up with the holiday season which is practically over now, so i'm glad. but how have your holidays been treating you? Good or have you gotten sick? Here's some quick tips on how to look healthy when you're sick.
Soak your skin in moisturiser - your skin will dry looking dull and even aged, so it's important to keep it moisturised, regularly.

Try out aromatherapy - Boil six cups of water in a pot, remove from the stove, and add three drops of eucalyptus oil. Place the pot on a small table, drape a towel over the back of your head, then bend over the pot so your head is about a foot away from the pot and the towel covers it. Breathe in the fragrant steam. Eucalyptus is good to help relieve congestiion and the steam will hydrate your skin. Just wash your face after with cold water to cloe the pores
