I'd have to say with this year coming to an end, its been a whole different in the beauty industry than I'd hope for. Didnt plan working for two companies that turned out being both completely useless. But I suppose thats what happens when someone who isn't a beauty therapist decides to run a beauty salon. Get your heads checked and maybe a diploma?
All is well though, that last two month working for myself have been fantastic, business is picking up well.. And i know that because compared to Novembers Clients, its 100% more in December. It's only up from here. Well merry christmas to all, and here's to 2013. A better year of beauty!
P.S This is cute.

onto bigger and better things..no more beaux bellus
So, life has thrown a few crazy events at me lately. Needless to say, October has been a big month for me. Had my engagement party on the 13th, was able to drive again on my greens on the 14th, got my full license on the 15th as well as my baby brother Elijah Jacob was born that afternoon. Then, the whole reason of this post.. on the 24th of October, I was put off from my job at Beaux Bellus in Richmond, and I would like to put some harsh words out there about it as I was NOT treated fairly at all.. but I'll just more onto the next step in life which is be.YOU.ty @ home. My new business! All from the comfort of my own home, I will be providing waxing, tinting, tanning & make up. Though the tanning, tinting & make up can always be done from someone elses home. I'm taking bookings from Wednesday and I already have two this week. So its quite exciting. If by any chance you live in the Hawkesbury area in new south wales, australia. Check me out! I'm happy to help any of your needs. My facebook page which was just up and running today is http://facebook.com/beYOUtyathome My pricing is all very affordable because I dont have the costs of having to pay rent.

Secret Weapons to Looking Gorgeous All Day
1. Pick a sponge tip eyeshadow brush.
With the skin getting oily during the day, your eyeshadow tends to crease into the fold, or transfer to your lower lids. to keep your eye make up in place, its not the type of eyeshadow or primer, its the brush. Fluffy synthetic brushes are the most prevalent eyeshadows brushes out there, but they cause shadow to dissipate faster. The sponge tip presses onto your skin instead of swishing the pigment.
2. Wear the right deodorant.
Look for an antiperspirant whose primary active ingredient is aluminum, as acts as a plug in the sweet glands, blocking sweat.
3. Keep a dry shampoo close.
Being inside with a air conditioner will cause your skin to get dry which triggers more oil production. Spray your hair with a little dry shampoo in the middle day to feel refresh and keep that oily shine away.
4. Prime before you apply a lick of make up.
If its one thing all make up artist agree on its 'not to prime is a crime'

look after your skin in winter
I know we're already half way through winter so i'm a little late but here is some tips on looking after your skin in the colder months. We all know that our skin isn’t as fantastic in the winter as it is in the summer, and sometimes we think we don’t need to worry so much, but if you look after your skin through winter than your skin will look and feel better in the summer months.
You shouldn’t be slacking off with sunscreen during winter, still applying it to your face and other exposed areas. But especially don't slack off if you're hitting the slopes, rays reflect off the snow and are double the strength. Thankfully we are more clothed in winter so not so much needs to apply. Still, once you’ve hit winter, buy a new sunscreen so that’s its fresh.
Taking too hot of a shower in winter is actually dehydrated your body by up to four cups of water, this isn't healthy for your skin. Even though we all love hot showers, just suck it up and turn it down just for the benefit of your skin throughout the colder months. And remember to moisture after each shower to keep the moisture in your skin.

10 time saving beauty tricks
1. Start With Concealer
Creating a brighter and more even complexion is often the most time-consuming part of makeup application. Cut minutes from the job by strategically dabbing concealer on pigmented areas — under-eye circles, say, or blemishes — then brush your teeth or fix your breakfast before applying the rest of your makeup. This gives the concealer time to melt into your skin more smoothly and to set, so you won’t have to use as much makeup over it.

Beauty Secrets from Models
thought it was time i write a post, since MakeUpBee featured me on their facebook page, and I should stop worrying about work for the moment. Why not start with some beauty secrets from supermodels.
Rosie Huntington-Whitely does her brows everyday, filling them in and sticking them down with brow gel. Filling in your eyebrows can make them shape your face in an excellent way. If you're eyebrows are too light, or you just dont have the time to colour them in everyday, then head to your nearest beauty salon for an eyebrow tint, which won't cost much at all.

Skin Agers
Indulging in a Sweet Tooth
If you fill up too often on sugar or foods that are high on the glycaemia index like white bread and pasta you may eventually find that your skin looks older than it should. Sugar breaks down into glucose which eats away at collagen and elastin the structural proteins that make up your skin therefore causing your skin to be less supple and its texture worse. Avoiding sugar is easier said than done so your best bet is to eat a balanced diet rich in fruit and vegetables. If you do eat carbohydrates and sugar, balance them with protein, like nuts, beans and chicken to slow the harmful effect on your blood sugar levels.
Taking Window Seats
Even if you’re good with applying your SPF every morning, you can still suffer damaging sun exposure if you sit near a window at the office or you spend a significant amount of time commuting in a car. UVA rays have a long wavelength and go through window glass; they penetrate the skin deeper, aging it and causing skin cancer.

keratin hair treatment.
My hairdresser that owns Keziah's Mobile Hairdressing has done the Guava Keratin Hair Treatment in my hair. It is a specially formulated revitalising and rejuvenating treatment for the hair
that eliminates frizz. The formulation restores and restructures hair by infusing a natural blend of keratin deep into the cuticle. Which has helped my hair to become more managerable and take much less time to style. It will be noticeably softer and straighter with added life and shine.
My hair is not curly or wavy, but its not straight either. Whenever I have my hair out, i always straighten it because I dont like how little bits are always out of place. This constant straightening is doing more damage then good to my hair. Causing dry brittle ends and spilt ennds which just arent pretty.

Valentines
For valentines, I wanted to focus a little less on my make up and a little more on my boyfriend. So i went for a simple cream eyeshadow and bold red lip with gloss plus rosy cheeks.

The Downside of Laser & IPL
With all the bad news we're been hearing about laser & ipl machines & their users, its scary us off having that hair free skin we all want.
As there is no regulations on who can and cant use these machines and the results arent always hair free. Inexperience operators are coming out with hyper and hypo pigmentation on their clients as well as the worse cases coming out with burns.

What Face Mask For Your Skin
Face masks are good and well, but if you’re using the wrong one than you could be doing more damage than good. Before we go into which mask for which skin type, here’s some extra tips for any mask your using. Steam your face prior with your face over a bowl of hot water or press a hot washer to your face before beginning your mask. Take your mask down to your décolletage, your neck is just as important as your face and needs proper care. This is the same when cleansing and apply wrinkle treatment and other creams.
Dry & Sensitive Skin
A hydrating mask is the only choice as you want to rejuvenate and protect your skin rather than dry it out. A recommend mask is Yes To Cucumbers Soothing Facial Mask

Skin, The Largest Organ of the Body. (Part 1)
If you remember not long before the end of the year, I set myself a challenge which I didn't actually fully complete. That was to write up an 'assignment' on the skin. Lucky for me, it wasn't actually an assignment. But that's not to say that I didnt do a fair bit on notes on it, because I did. So basically, here are the notes that I have done. If you're not into the science of skin, maybe give this post a miss but you may be missing out on some interesting facts.
Skin Science The skin is the largest organ of the body having 6 different functions: protection, immunity, sensation, heat regulation, absorption of vitamin D, and excretion of wastes, sweat, oil, etc. The skin has three different layers: The epidermis, the dermis and the hypodermis or subcutaneous layer. The skin is known as the integumentary system and it acts as a boundary fence and keeps all the bacteria from entering the body.

look healthy whilst sick
apologising for not writing anything, i have been away on a holiday and trying to keep up with the holiday season which is practically over now, so i'm glad. but how have your holidays been treating you? Good or have you gotten sick? Here's some quick tips on how to look healthy when you're sick.
Soak your skin in moisturiser - your skin will dry looking dull and even aged, so it's important to keep it moisturised, regularly.
Try out aromatherapy - Boil six cups of water in a pot, remove from the stove, and add three drops of eucalyptus oil. Place the pot on a small table, drape a towel over the back of your head, then bend over the pot so your head is about a foot away from the pot and the towel covers it. Breathe in the fragrant steam. Eucalyptus is good to help relieve congestiion and the steam will hydrate your skin. Just wash your face after with cold water to cloe the pores
